On a 16 KW generator where the nameplate states the rated maximum continuous load current is 66.6 amps- is there any exception that would allow #6 wire to be used for the feeder?
The generator has a 70amp breaker for overload protection and #6 wire could be fused at 70 amps but isn’t the max load current rating the deal breaker here requiring #4 conductors?
