18v DeWalt batteries, NiCd --> Li

I have a relative new dewalt cordless drill & sawzall. I don't like the performance of the NiCad batteries. Would it be possible or ever make sense for someone to come out with Lithium batteries that fit into these tools? Would the technologies be compatible?? etc. etc... I have a Li 12V drill I use for trimming & i reeally like it...

if you got dewalt - their new line of Li batts fit in all of the tools, they dont fit in some of the flashlights, but you can send the flashlight to them for a free modification - or you can do what i did, and do it yourself.

Like other said, the batteries are interchangeable. You will however need a new charger just for the Li-On.
