1930 home panel in the kitchen

Can you replace the existing panel and keep it in the kitchen there is nothing in front of it.

30 in wide x 36 in deep in a kitchen sure,but not in a pantry... Flour night be considered a combustiable material,sorry had a bad week !!!

yes and also likely to have storage in work area

I only know of two places that you can not install an electrical panel, if space is not an issue (1) bathrooms (2) clothes closet.
