I have done a lot of electric jobs with my father before he passed first time seeing in addition and the old part has two wire and no ground wire in Outlets or switches with metal box and the old owners put three-pronged Outlets before the sale. My question is how can I easily obtain a ground wire also there is no grounding screw from the metal box to the new plugs and no conduit so my question is should I add a pigtail off the metal box to the new plug or can I just run Newgrounds from each metal box to a junction in the basement and then run one main ground to the panel. Trying to help my buddies kid out that just bought this house that he paid way too much for any advice would be very welcomed and much appreciated
