Does anyone have access to the ROCs and ROPs for 1999 NEC? They are not available online and my CDs don't go back that far. I'd like to see the comments on changes that occurred to 445-10 Disconnecting Means Required for Generators.
An inspector is insisting on unit mounted CBs on 2 paralleled 480V industrial generators, even though they are in the same room with the paralleling gear and about 30 ft away. They would be redundant to the CBs in the paralleling gear and an unnecessary expense. It seems he is enforcing the "letter" of the code but not the intent. He is open to discussing it though...
