Okay so we have got it covered that everyone calls it something different haha. But I still have yet to get an answer:D

No, SE Cable and XHHW conductors are different and they are the answer.

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought Cape Cod required copper conductors

because of the salt waters' affect on Alum.

No we have the option of Alum. or copper. But perhaps down cape they can only use copper I dont know

what does it mean??

what does it mean??

I'm new here.. I thought POCO was the Pocono Mountains.. you do learn something new everyday. Is there a page that has the meaning of all the short cuts used?? Took me an hour to figure out RTU

Triplex is URD cable. It is intended to be placed in the ground. I do risers in triplex all the time(in pipe). But 1 or 2 inpsectors will not allow it because it is intended to be put in the ground. I do beleve that this cable is sun lite resisant but it is UNDERGROUND CABLE. in a pipe or not it is made to be in the ground so you are not using the correct listed wire for your application.

The OP didn't say what he was going to use to from the meter to the panel inside, but some URD cannot be used for that purpose. The product that is sold in my area is listed as USE only and as a result of that listing you cannot use that product inside a building. It must terminate outside.

when you use URD underground how do you transition into a panel or meter base if you cant put it in conduit?

With reference to the OP, we call that cable "triplex" as well. You'll hear it called triplex or urd around here. Techinically it's dual rated USE and XLPE I think. And it's often installed in conduit because it costs less (sometimes) than individual cuts of XHHW and is always in stock.

What I call triplex: (messenger-supported wiring, ACSR)
