I just purchased 25' of 2" flexible steel conduit to use on a job. The supplier said there is not an anti-short bushing to put inside the squeeze connector. He said, it is not necessary, but if you feel the need, wrap it with electrical tape.

What are your comments?

The NEC does not require anti-short bushings on FMC. As far as I know it never has.

And I have only seen one used on FMC a few times.

If you install the FMC with the correct fittings there is no need for any extra bushings. I would avoid tape, to me that looks DIY but obviously that is just a personal opinion.
