Ok , this is confusing at least to me. We just bought a house, and I got 2, 3 way switches in a single box. For some reason there is a bunch of outlets (3) connected to the light circuit in our screen room. I don't believe that's normal. I just want to know if there's a way to run a constant hot off of a 3 way switch. I apologize if this is normal and this ends up being a simple answer that I overlooked.
Thank you.

Receptacles can also be switched. Usually one half of the device is not.
That's what I usually like to do, particularly in bedrooms where I don't like ceiling lights. I run 14/3 around to all receptacles. Black is hot and red is switched. I split wire all receptacles, plug lamps into the switched. The nice thing about it is that if you want a whole duplex unswitched (say for a TV) you have the option of doing that at any time by rearranging the receptacle wiring in the box.

It really depends on how the wiring is laid out.
