2 Ground Rods

I had an inspector tell me that I needed two ground rods for a service. Was He just exceeding 250.53 (2) (Supplemental)?

Unless you meet the exception of 25ohms or less, you need 2.

Take a look at 250.56 (2008 NEC) or 250.53(A)(2) (2011 NEC).

Check your state codes also. Wisconsin requires 2 ground rods.
