When and wy and were was this used?

If I recall correctly, from previous discussions here, it was in the northeast at the dawn of electrical distribution. It lost out (like DC) to 3-phase AC as a standard.

I like to read that kind of history. If I ever get up to Niagra Falls there is a museum with that old stuff, that will be a must see. You can see water falling over rocks nearly anywhere, right ? :grin:

Lol there used to be a walkway that took you under the falls, not sure if its still there?
