With a 2 piece emt connector, Is a egc needed to be run with the conductors, because of the lack of locknut and setscrew?

The inside part of the 2-piece is tapered and has sharp ridges that dig into the box or panel. So this performs the same function as the sharp points on the periphery of a locknut or the end of a set screw. Apparently this was effective enough to meet the requirements of the listing process Tom mentioned.
