after pulling a 220v, 20a gfci breaker out of the box i noticed that one side was marked "20" amps and the other side was marked "50 " amps ... is this a mistake or is there an application for this breaker?
I wouldn't take the chance, two pole breakers are single pole breakers with a common trip, that are paired together and riveted, it is possible that a 20 amp accidentally got married to a 50 amps, in the manufacturing process? they do this on trailer breakers all the time but on purpose I wouldn't trust having a possible 50 amp breaker protecting a 20 amp conductor. (except the 240.4(D) method)
