2 pole T Stat controlling a 3 phase unit heater.

I saw a 2 pole T Stat (both lines break) controlling a 3 phase unit heater. I have not seen that before but I can't find a place in the code that would dis-allow the install. I would assume T Stat installation instructions would not allow but can not find it. Has anyone done this?

I’ve seen this before. It’s fine, but a 2 pole device cannot serve as the required disconnect (obviously).

This. It's code compliant, & quite common to see single pole contactors on 1Ø, & 2 pole contactors on 3Ø, HVAC equipment not best solution but when someone wants cheap, that is one way to do it
