Hi, I have a question regarding 2 speed separate windings motor controller. Does anyone have any knowledge of this? Need happily all the information you can get with, possibly some drawings, links to drawings. I appreciate it!

I'll draw "2 speed separate windings" motor controller for an electric motor that drives a hydraulic pump. There will be local and remote start / stop with light and emergency stop. Data for electricity. Motor: 440V AC, 19,2 - 27,6kW. Dimensioning of cable and components shall be documented.

Any suggestions, solutions or tips? Everything is of interest.

I work for Rolls-Royce Marine, Norway. Done it 5 years now, so yes, it has to do with my work..

the mods don't generally delete such posts. they just close them.

there appears to be a general consensus of the moderators that your question is violating a basic rule of the forum, that the forum is for qualified people (as defined by the forum rules) to discuss these kinds of questions.

it would be best if you PM'd a moderator if you think they are in error as to whether the forum rules would permit your post to stay open.

based on the way your question is phrased, it is my guess it would not be allowed. a person allowed to post under the rules would know the answer to the question being asked, or at least know where to look to find the answer.

What exactly is your question? Two speed motors with two separate sets of windings for each speed are common. You need a controller that will be set up to only energize one set of windings at a time. Try to energize both sets and you are telling the motor to run at two speeds at the same time - it is not going to go very well for that motor if that happens.

Take a look at the attached file. It is taken out of a Square D Wiring book.
It should give you what you need.

My apologies if I did not interpret the OP correctly. Please review the attached drawings.
Hope they will be of help.
