I’m not using Tapatalk, as you can see in the picture, it’s asking if I want to use it.
Touch the red square with the "T" in it, and a small window appears. Touch the red square in that pop-up, and it takes you to his bio page

Interestingly, yes. I suspect that the shock you experienced comes from the "grounded neutral transformer" circuit of the GFCI itself.

No, a detectable shock would be > 6mA and trip GFCI.

A detectable shock in test GFCI's is not reproducible from G-N:

Using Wiggy(s) G-N on live GFCI gets different results
1) KLIEN ET200 (AAA batteries): Wiggy display is blank
2) ETCON VT200 (button cells): Wiggy gets continuity only
3) FLIR CM74 multi-meter: V gets 0.3vac, LoZ gets 0.2vac,
4) Perhaps a solenoid-only Wiggy does something different?

Shorting live G-N trips GFCI. If GFCI does not trip, its either defective or another circuit.

Opposite leg of MWBC touching new cable EGC is more plausible

Okay, thanks. I guess I didn’t read the rules well enough. Yes, you understand what I was asking. And most instruction sheets in the GFCI receptacle packaging box do say to only hook up the grounding conductor if there is one. I am wondering if this is why they instruct you thusly...
do you not see the following under his avatar?

No problem, guys. I wasn’t aware of the rules before. I did not have electrician on my profile but have now updated it. Thank you for all your help and advice 🙂.

I'm just trying to figure out why he can't see the info under your avatar.
The screenshot from hillbilly1 in post #20 shows that he's viewing the mobile version of this website on a smartphone.
The mobile version is simplified because text becomes tiny and unreadable when all the details in the desktop version are displayed on a smartphone. Apparently the location and occupation info are among the things that were eliminated on the mobile version. That info could probably be retained. However, that would reduce the available area on a smartphone screen for text and therefore require more scrolling to go through the posts in a thread. I don't think that's a worthwhile trade-off, because if profile info is wanted one can just click on the avatar.

Here's a preview from Firefox of the mobile version of this thread on the iPhone 6/7/8 iOS11:
