That would be pretty decent for longer racks. There'd be a bit of a learning curve, figuring out how much 20' goods to order with your 10' goods. Normally, I just order pipe by the total feet. We'll have to see how that works out in the time to come. I've been getting 20' strut for years now. Much less waste that way, normally.

I used the 20' EMT on one job where I had 5 rows of fixtures, 15 feet apart. That's the only time I've used it, but I can say it helped on the labor cost.

i like the cute 5' sections of pipe they sell at lowes. i guess it makes it easier to get into the trunk. :D

I wonder if they salvage good 5' straight sections from bent and smashed up full sticks? If that's the case, and people buy the 5' pieces, that sounds like good business.

I can only imagine the condition of a bundle of 20' 1/2" or 3/4" EMT by the time it gets to me on the job.

I'm in the middle of a job and 20' kindorf is what we requested from three local supply houses.

I was told that the only way for me to get 20' lenghts is to buy in bulk quantity between 300 - 500 pieces.

No one stocks them here on Long Island. Anyone have any ideas.

Buy 300 pieces?

Yeah, you'd have a 20' bow. Now all you need is a 7' arrow to go with it.

I'm shocked. My gut feeling is that you didn't look hard enough. Check the plumbing supply houses. They seem to almost always only stock 20 foot goods. I'm in the middle of Podunk, and I can get 20' strut with no problem.

I thought that Graybar stocked 20' Kindorf or at least could get it in smaller quantities.

Didnt think of the plumbing supply houses.

I beleive our tools and parts guy checked with Graybar,

but needlesstosay, I myself will make some phone calls today.

(300 pieces would be 280 too many)!!
