20 Foot Strut

Has anyone priced 20 foot strut lately? I saw 10 footers at Big Orange recently for $35. So I assume 20 footers would be at least $70, probably more.

Boss told me recently to cut up 2 20 footers and a stick of half inch allthread and throw it out. I cut them them to 10 feet and put them with our conduit. No way I was throwing it out. We use that & our suppliers don’t always have it. He has no clue what some things cost.

Why would you waste that much? Not like it is all little pieces.

Some guys just don’t think of cost or availability.

Remember that storage costs money and organization is valuable.

Still probably smarter to keep as 10 footers than trashing.

I haven't seen anyone collecting rent on the storage space. The material is stuff we use for various projects and sometimes the supply house still runs out of it.
