2000 amp 120/208 service grounding requirement

MY question is what would the grounding requirement be for a 2000 amp meter main. code defines >25 ohms.
Two ground rods?

Unless this 2000 amp service is freestanding the building would likely have a CEE which means you would need to connect to that with a minimum of #4 copper as the GEC.

We do a lot of freestanding ag services. It's not uncommon to have a 2000 amp 480v service with just a couple grounds rods tied together with some #4 bare CU.

Could be that's why I mentioned it but for every one of them there's probably 1000 that are not freestanding. I'll go with the odds and say that it's the latter. :)
