2002 or 2005?

What NEC edition is Michigan using now? I believe they are still using the 2002 NEC. A buddy at work says they just switched over to the 2005 version. I think he is wrong but can't find info at this time to prove or disprove.

If Michigan is still on 2002 NEC when do they plan to adopt NEC 2005? Why are they behind the code cycles? Thanks to all.
