Re: 2005 and Standards Council

The appeal of the engineered series rating by George Gregory has failed, that is the only item that I know about at this point. In the near (maybe) future, the appeals will be posted on the NFPA Standards Council site.

Changed the URL to the location where the results will be posted.

The posting of the Standards Council's actions have been made to the web site (see my previous post for the link). :D

Thanks Charlie.

Re: 2005 and Standards Council

Hmm... I thought there would be more issues than what is listed there?

If I'm reading these decisions correctly, it appears there will be no AFCI expansion this cycle, smoke detectors will not get an exception to AFCI circuits, and the new 410.73(G) requirment for a disconnect at fluorescent luminaires will be in the 2005.

So basically, put all these decisions into the 2005 draft and that is our new code?

Sorry, it didn't work quite that way. Several items in the draft were reversed during the comment stage. Additionally, one appeal was granted. :D
