2005 NEC Logo

I have not received my 2005 NEC yet, but have noticed on all magazines and catalogs a large "C3" logo near the bottom left corner of the books cover. Is there an explanation of this logo or does anyone know what that stands for?

Just noticed it on my copy. There is a small "r" in a circle below it meaning it is a registered trademark for something, I guess.

I just saw something on the NFPA Website that referred to C3 as "Comprehensive Consensus Codes." Since the NEC is an NFPA document, perhaps that's what it means.

C3 is basically the colaboration of IAPMO (International Associations of Plumibing and Mechanical Something or another) and the NFPA. They are planning (or already have) to advertise thier set of books, including the NFPA 70 NEC, NFPA 5000, UPC and UMC as a rival to the International Code Council (ICC).

I never got back to this topic to see the resposnses and its been driving me nuts ever since! Thanks for the information and link. Now I can sleep better.
