Hello,
Does anyone have information or links to the proposed revisions to the 2005 code regarding calculation and labeling of arc fault current levels on each piece of equipment?

I know the current requirements state that a label indicating a hazard is present be affixed, but I have heard through the grapevine this will drastically change in 05 and I am researching this as to what the requirements will be.

Thanks in advance for your replies!
Joe

Re: 2005 NEC Revisions

I belive it will be similar to what was proposed for the 02 cycle, the label will have to include calorie information. Your best bet would be to download the 05 NEC ROP and ROC from the NFPA web site, but its not a done deal yet.

Re: 2005 NEC Revisions

When Tom said it is not a done deal yet, he means it. We are still having panel meetings. This information will get to the NFPA site in a couple of months or so (perhaps after the TCC meets and then everything is ready for the NFPA annual meeting in May). We will get mail ballets, turn in our votes, recirculate the negative votes, and mail in our changed written ballets. The TCC will meet after that and then the ROC will be made available to the public. :D
