Will I see any of you there? I am told by my chapter (Utah chap.) that I must attend to be present for the nominations :D

Re: 2005 NEC

Believe it or not, I am starting to gear up for the 2008 cycle. It is not too early to start considering what you would like changed and formulating the new proposed wording. I think the deadline will be 5:00 PM on November 4th, 2005. If you start now, you can share it with us for criticism and massaging in order to have a good proposal. :D

I already have about a dozen or so changes that I plan on submitting to the 2008. I also teach my first 2005 NEC changes class on October 13th.

Re: 2005 NEC

NY State has promulgated its own building codes and is not permitted by it's own law to adopt another code, such as the NEC, or the ICC. So they have come up with their own codes which 'reference' (for electrical) the NEC. The problem is they are on a 3 year cycle that is one year behind the NEC cycle, and already started a code cycle behind. So we in NY for the time being will be a code cycle and one year behind most of the rest of the country.

By Charlie: I will be at the Western Section in Iowa.
I have booked my rooms. But H.I. University Park was full up, so I got a room at H.I. Des Moines- Northwest.
And now I have to get my registration in to IAEI.
I wish they had a way to do it on line? Or a fax.
