Personally I prefer Mike Holt's book because of their excellent illustrations. I have the last three code change books that he's put out.

I just took a code update class and the book we used is NEC 2008 analysis of changes by the IAEI (international association of elctrical inspectors)..I found it to be easy to understand and informative..

so gentleman to the topic on what books you like and why..I like the one I have just read..I have never known anyone who has made a proposal to have something changed and never even had the privilege to chat with anyone who has until here and now I have met several and even been able to chat with them..So please explain why you like your choices..I like my choice because it does not give me allot of excess info but it gives me enough to understand what the change is and some of the intended reasoning behind the change..

I like Mike's as an everday person because it doesn't get into changes for over 600V systems, and it doesn't talk about every tiny change. I also think Mike's products have the best graphics.
I like IAEI's, because, as an instructor, I need to know every tiny change. :)

When I took a '05 change course, we got Mike's change book, which I liked. When I take Mike's code change seminar next month, I rather suspect we will receive his change book as well....

I don't have any experience with any other product.

T&B had a pretty decent code-change summary .PDF online someplace. It was a pretty big file with lots of graphics, as I remember. I know I have a link around here someplace....
Here we go:

Thanks Marc. I'm downloading it now. I like pictures to go with the text. It keeps me interested. I bought Mike's book also and I like that one too. I only wish it would print the old text with the new for easy comparison.

The NJATC book is also well done. I have that, Mike's and the IAEI one...not really sure which one is the best as they are all good. And before anyone asks, the NJATC book is available to anyone who wants to buy it.
