What is table 505.6.2 used for? (2009 International Energy Conservation Code).

As near as I can tell, it has been replaced by tables 505.6.2(1) and 505.6.2(2). If that's the case, I'm wondering if it was inadvertently left in the code book.

I guess I'm not the only one who doesn't understand why this table is in there. And I don't see anything about it on the IECC Errata.
