200A Panel Upgrade

Hello, going to be doing a panel upgrade for 125A to 200A, obviously wire size at current panel is undersized for 200A, is it edison's responsibility to pull new feeder wires into the meter? Looks like 2" conduit coming into meter cabinet, then looks like direct burial perhaps UG feed at edison box by the street.

You would need to ask your POCO. There may be more to it than pulling in larger wire.
My POCO would evaluate the transformer to see if it would handle the extra load.

Don’t be surprised if the POCO doesn’t upsize their wires, especially if underground.

I upgraded a 200 service to 320/400 for a new tankless water heater, and they didn’t.

I upgraded a 200 service to 320/400 for a new tankless water heater, and they didn’t.

I wired a new house a couple of years ago with 400a service. POCO wouldn't approve because I had 500s in my mast, and they wanted 750s

After they wouldn't budge, I relented and changed it.

Then they dragged a #2 aluminum across from a 25kw transformer and fastened it to my 750s

Yeah talked to poco and they said they’re not upgrading wires on their end because there’s no increase in load. So I guess I’m good to go
