Need little help, Looking for a 200A meter main bottom feed that has 200a beaker with removable conductors between load side of breaker and line on distribution.
That way I can go from breaker to Transfer switch then transfer switch back to distribution. I know I have seen and used them before but I am not finding anywhere.
Anyone know what brand and panel model that would be?

Is this an existing job? It is easier to mount meter- transfer switch and then panel. Most meter mains I have seen, I have not seen many, had busbars not conductors.

Its an existing mess, Modular home that feeds off of bottom lug bussing then shop that feeds off of 100a breaker and of course his well pump feeds off of shop panel and septic pumps feed off of meter distribution. And of course customer bought his own 13kw generator with 200a auto transfer.
I can do it but labor and materials will be more than the generator.

I think he is going to be stuck with Meter main to transfer then to distribution. I always run into these jobs where DIY home owners have done all there own work then get mad at me because it costs so much to bring everything back up to code.
Thank you for your help.

Methinks the presence of wires doesn't make the modification Kosher.

In discussions about this in the past, the "listing" issue is always brought up.

I just looked at one like that.

HO bought a genny and a 6 circuit transfer switch.

The 100A main panel outside the house had a 100A feed to a sub panel on the other side of the house, plus 4 other circuits.

Told her it would cost 3 times as much for me to try and use her transfer switch, rather than just doing a breaker interlock. And she‘d have to pick and choose which part of her house would be in the dark. 🙄

She seemed a little upset that she had this transfer switch that wasn’t going to get used. 🤣

On the GC side of my business, I have two different customers who both went out and bought metal buildings, then called me to pour the slabs, erect them, and wire them up.

Only to find out neither is able to be permitted. 😳

Been a huge waste of time.

Wish people would stop buying their own stuff. 🤣
