I have a design where a Disconnect Switch is upstream to a 208/120V, 225A Main Bus Rated Power Panel with a calculated load of 180A . My question is, which disconnect switch to use per NEC Code. Where in the NEC Code explains the requirements of using a 200A vs a 400A Rated Non-Fusible Disconnect Switch in this situation.
