I got the impression from the 2011 DVD General Requirements and Circuit Protection (Mike Holt), that they were trying to indicate that AFCI's would be required for bathrooms, if those bathrooms were located inside of a bedroom. Is this correct?

why would anyone locate a bathroom inside a bedroom? I can see having it adjacent to a bedroom, but not in one.

If it has walls and door, even if only accessible from the bedroom, it is still a bathroom. If the plumbing fixtures are open to the rest of the room, I think the whole space is a bathroom and not a bedroom.
