I have two requests for x10
One adding a panic button to a finished high end newer residential installation
the kther - you guessed it- recovering a whole old house w a Leviton 6312 brain:slaphead:

I have a few ideas on restoring normal function for the existing x10 house but would like feedback on installing a
lights flashing alarm bellringing system to existing finished fancy house

Basically new alarms or lights would trigger from a lo Vo or radio switch to a contactor w new dedicated load. Maybe ge rr7 for example
Flashing existing lights , and being able to also turn them off naturally
Seems to require smarter Sws.
I had good experience w the pico
Maybe there is a control console for the maestro. But pico control doesn't travel far

Are there new improved versions of the x10 that are reliable enough to panic over
Any other schemes to flash existing lights?
Thx

Have you considered Lutron Radio RA2.?
They have a built in "Flash" to flash system controlled lighting and can be initiated by a button press of a keypad, or even an alarm system contact closure.
