I just want to be sure I'm understanding the changes to this section. In a noncorrosive environment AC cable would be adequate for the motor branch circuit.
 
Heck, you can use nm for pool motors in a non-corrosive environment. I guess they make mc cable for corrosive environments.
But.....they lacked (and I argued this point) adding the real definition to such an area. It is way too broad in 680.14 (A). However, I hope that issue will be addressed in the 2020 process.
