I would think so, but you will need to get the AHJ & POCO to hash out the details.3 family new service on house . The utilities want all meters to stay inside building because house has to many windows . Is it still required to install a disconnect outside . Service size is 200 amps
Code sectionDid you look at the 2020 Code Section?
There are a number of significant changes in the the article that you say that does not talk about that situation.230 really doesn't talk about that situation .
Right I was trying to get the OPer to look up the rules in the NEC. These sections have generated a fair amount of comments230.85 is one or two family dwelling units not three.
The NEC does not care where the meters are located. For occupancies covered by 230.85, that location of the meter has nothing to do with the required emergency disconnect. However, that could be a conflict with the utility as they typically don't want disconnects on the line side of their cash register. The utility would have to find a way that will work for them as the NEC governs this issue and not the utility rules.Def need to get utlities involved .The nec doesn't go into emergency switch if meters are located inside .
