Hey everybody,
Yesterday we went to a 2023 code update class and the instructor and I had a disagreement and Id like to hear your thoughts. He told us that the new 2023 code required us to put barriers on ALL feeder panels. I disagreed and gave the example of a 200 amp ocpd ahead of a 200 amp feeder panel because it technically is not a feeder tap or a transformer tap. Am I seeing that correctly or am I in the wrong? I have no problem with using barriers, I just believe he was wrong to tell a class full of guys that all feeder panels need them.
