2023 NEC Index question

If I look under Heating, ventilating and Air conditioning (HVAC) systems
it tells me to look at art. 708 which is Critical Operations Power Systems. (COPS)
Am I missing something?

I have never found much use for the index in the NEC.

The NEC index is notoriously poor and always has been. Get a copy of Ferm's Fast Finder.

You are mostly looking at 440 and 424 for hvac. The online version doesn't have an index but if I use the search it does come back with 708.14. The nec uses the term hvac 18 times but it never takes you to 440 or 424 probably because the term hvac is not used in that section
