208y/120v

[Masonbunting]

I have a 208/120 panel in my shop and would like to run an outlet from my mig welder. If i have a two pole breaker and a neutral will that give me 240? or should I reconfigure my welder to 208 and just make the neutral the ground? This probably seems like an simple question to a lot of you but i'm new to 208y/120v. Thanks in advance.
