The whirlpool spec calls for a 15A 120V circuit, but I want to put a GFCI in the bathroom, both for convenience (if it trips) and as an emergency cutoff.
15A GFCI blank-face switches don't exist. I think I can use a 20A GFCI blank-face switch with a 15A (non-GFCI) breaker in the panel. (i.e., the wire goes from the breaker to the switch to the tub, and nowhere else).
Is there a code issue with putting a 20A GFCI switch on a 15A circuit?
thanks
