I have a 20amp 220volt double pole GFCI breaker for a pool filter motor. The breaker itself is very warm.
The wire is cool. The motor is very warm, but it is drawing the correct amperage. Occasionally the breaker trips. Is this ok should I replace the breaker, or do you have any other advice?
Thanks

I suspect the GFCI is doing its job and sees a ground fault. Breakers generate heat due to the voltage drop across contacts, etc. But you could turn off power, remove breaker, check the stabs and load side lugs, clean and tighten.
Meg the motor, check the wiring between the GFCI and motor junction box, for water, shorts etc.
