I was just checking over a job we did and looks like we pulled a #8 for the hots and #10 ECG then a #12 neutral on a 40 or 50 Amp to a piece of fixed equipment.
215(A)(2) Has a requirement that the neutral be sized at least the size of the ECG, is there no similar requirement for branch circuits?
This piece of equipment just uses the neutral for a few lights and a control panel and looks to have a 2 amp fuse protecting the 120V part of the equipment, but still I would have thought a #10 a minimum.
Thanks in advance.
