How are you doing this? I prefer not to use wire ties (ty-wraps) in panels. I use velcro ties, but these are a bit large for 4 #12s.

Thank you.

How about hair 'scrunchies'?

Me, I am a rebel I would use tie wraps to tie wrap conductors.

LOL:grin:. I don't think small tie wraps for this application is a bad idea, you would probably never have to take them off. I get pretty POed when I have to work in an energized panel an have to cut 50 tie wraps pulled tight around conductors.

Use small tie-wraps. They're cheap and better than tape. In fact I'll go on record as saying I despise installations where guys use tape to bundle conductors. You can cut tie-wraps off in 2 seconds, tape is another story. Not to mention all of that sticky black glue left around the wires.

For those that do use tape to identify MWBC's, backwrap first wrap and a half, flip and add final wrap and a half... stretch it tight too so it don't slip real easy. It'll cut off in 2 seconds and not leave any tape adhesive behind.

Tie wraps are the best.
I like to identify MWBC where they enter the cabinet with a colored one. This way it is unlikely that it will get removed.

In the rest of the panels it so much better than tape less sticky UGh..

??? Tie wraps seem the best choice. I HATE removing a gunked up gooeey wrap of tape around conductors

Props iwire that was funny!

I am without a doubt tie-wrap guy. Nice and neat, the more the merrier! I can cut off 50 tie wraps in the same amount of time it takes to de-goo a couple of wraps of old tape.

:-?
How are you doing this? ... I use velcro ties...

And what does the AHJ say about this?

I would think they'd break down over time, been over to some old installs, lately ?

I don't even think I'd like to hear a crack'n sound as one would have as they released them... !!! And why are U working live?

They make some egg shapped plastic clips, that the kids gave me to tie up things... I'll get a refernce to you later.

Whats the difference between using velcro, tape or tie wraps?

I can't stand sticking dikes into a 480y/277 panel to cut tie wraps.

What would give you that idea?

Looking forward to it.

OK, as earlier stated, and sometimes the termination should just go freestyle.
No sometimes it's enough to get it in ...

What would give you that idea?
Buy a cap. stick, put it in you pocket, be a geek, always...

Looking forward to it.
I'll retract on Gator clamps ...
I'm sure it's not worthy.
