I would have sworn that there was an exception in 215(A)(1) to direct me to 430.24 for feeders with motors. So that for continuos motor loads I I would only carry 125% of largest motor and 100% of all other motors. But I am looking now at 2020 and it appears for feeders I still have to account for 125% of all continuous motors in the feeder calc? Did this change or have I always had it wrong? When does 430.24 apply for feeders? Ever?

215.2(A)(1) send you to Article 220 to calculate the feeder load. 220.50 sends you to 430.24 to calculate the motor feeder load.

OK, I see that express reference was removed in the 2020 version of 215.2, I'll look up the change that led to that shortly. [Edit: that change was done in a First Revision by the CMP, and the reference to Article 220 was deleted without comment. I guess because it's redundant? Certainly there was no commentary suggesting that was a substantive deletion.]

But the word "load" in 215.2 still refers to a number you get from Article 220, as 220.1 explains. So 220.50 still applies.
