Hi,

220.18 (B) Inductive and LED Lighting Loads states that the calculated loads shall be based on the total ampere ratings of such units and not on the total watts of the lamps with an LED Driver.

I have been in many situations where the LED Driver simply does not have any sort of input current listed on the spec sheet, typically just a output current. This makes it difficult sometimes to calculate the load of the branch circuit. I suppose my question is how should I make this calculation when many manufacturers do not give the input current of the LED Driver?

Thanks!

If the driver has a reasonably good power factor and efficiency you can get from the output power to the input power using the simple rule" "Power in equals power out".
If the LEDs are old cheap offshore residential units you might try an efficiency of 50%.
