I'm currently looking at 220.43(B) in the 2020 NEC handbook and in the code it states that
For track lighting in other than dwelling units or guest rooms or guest suites of hotels or motels, an additional load of 150 volt-amperes shall be included for every 600 mm (2ft) of lighting track or fraction thereof. Where multicircuit track is installed, the load shall be considered to be divided equally between the track circuits.
In the handbook, there is a sample calculation for a 63ft track light, where once divided by 2 ft, the quotient is 31.50, which is then rounded up to 32.
While I see the point of rounding up, wouldn't this conflict w/ the wording in the code when it says "or fraction thereof", therefore allowing for the calculation to not be rounded?
Thanks,

Well, I've seemed to answered my own question.
Reading again, the wording "or fraction thereof" refers to the next 2' if the quotient is not a whole number, therefore one would indeed need to round up.

Here is the section

220.5 Calculations.
(A) Voltages. Unless other voltages are specified, for purposes
of calculating branch-circuit and feeder loads, nominal system
voltages of 120, 120/240, 208Y/120, 240, 347, 480Y/277, 480,
600Y/347, and 600 volts shall be used.
(B) Fractions of an Ampere. Calculations shall be permitted
to be rounded to the nearest whole ampere, with decimal fractions
smaller than 0.5 dropped.
