I am prewiring for a double oven the specs state electric rating 8.9 kw @ 240
Due I consider this a single appliance or 2 and would I have to use column b
8900 x 65% = 5785 240 = 24.1 that smells wrong

It's just one connection, right? That would make it a single appliance, IMO.

If this is a resi job then you would use T220.55. Since your range is over 8 3/4 KW you must look at col. C. Col. C says maximum demand is 8KW
