Is the table 220.55 good to apply to multifamily buildings with 8 units in stead the 75% in 220.53?
Read 220.53 parent text which says its demand shall not apply to the following items 220.53(1-5)
220.53(1) is household electric cooking equipment fastened in place
If you’re looking to calculate the service load for electric ranges you use 220.55

It appears that 220.53 uses nameplate ratings, 220.55 dwelling units with “ individually” rated cooking units? I don’t see any qualifications prohibiting 220.55 for dwelling units

I never said 220.55 was prohibited for dwelling unit range calculations, 220.55 is specifically for calculating the service load for dwelling unit cooking equipment, what I did say is you shall not apply the 220.53 75% demand to dwelling unit fastened in place electric cooking equipment , read the last sentence of the 220.53 parent text it says the 75% demand shall not apply to the following which are 220.53(1-5)
The electric ranges can’t be one of the 4 appliances you include to apply rhe 220.53 75% demand factor to ,
You either use the total nameplate rating, or calculate the cooking equipment min service load using 220.55
