I'm preparing for an exam, and in one of the prep studies I am using I was marked wrong in a question for using table 220.56 for derating a 4-14kw ranges, 3-4.5kw cooking ovens, a 1hp disposal, and a coffee vending machine.
This is a cafeteria located in a strip mall.
My take on 220.56 is it reads for commercial electric cooking equipment, equipment that has thermostatic control, or equipment that is used intermittently.
Which the ranges and ovens are comm cooking equip, the disposal is used intermittently, and the coffee vending machine would have thermostatic control.
Am I missing something here or is this material incorrect.
Any input is welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I would have thought as you did. I don't no anything about a coffee vending machine so I will ask- does the machine make the coffee or just dispense it.

Thanks for the reply Dennis.
It didnt say in the course material if the machine made or dispensed it, I just figured the coffee most likely will be dispensed hot so there must be a heating element involved there.
I sent an email asking for clarification on this, when I'm a week or so off from the test I need to be sure what I'm studying is correct.
Thanks again
