OK, I guess my literalist interpretation is not persuasive. But it's clear to me specific language requiring one to recalculate a dwelling unit load using a method that gives a higher result just because a conductor supplies more than dwelling unit isn't present in article 220.

I am curious to look at the numbers both ways. Could you point me to or post a realistic but minimal list of loads for a dwelling unit that would meet all the requirements listed in 220.85?
