This works if the utility provides demand information. In general, they do not for residential customers, but do for commercial/industrial. IF they provide, or you can get the demand information, its as easy as reading it off the bill, and converting the KW figure to amps. You are not even specifically required to account for lack of balance or power factor. 220.87 is my fav!
thanks for the reply, im looking at a bill and listed is avg daily use,last 11months and, avg monthly use in KWH. which of the three should I take. I would think the avg monthly use but from there im clueless.
It sounds like they do not provide demand information. You could call them, perhaps they have the data but dont put it on the bill? Demand is different than average.. Demand is the highest load seen in a given interval, usually 15 minutes.
