I need to put a number on the install of two 72kw 480V 3? steam generators.

Here's what I have.

72000?830=86.7A

86.7?1.25=108A

So lets say 110A ?2=220A

I have one 200A frame left in the 480 gear.

Thank you.

Is there something in 220 or 422 that would alow this install? Both generators will be on 24/7.

Actually this is my job so cost effective answers are welcome.

Any chance that you can get them to build it with 20, 20, and 25kw elements instead of the 30, 30, and 12 that yours comes with?

They are bought and sitting there waiting to be installed and wired. I have the job but was asked to give a 'not to exceed' type number as this is your tax dollars at work and needs to be approved.

These steam generators feed 3 autoclaves. One is enough so I could wire them non-coincidental if I have to.

That sounds like a fine idea. Wire a pump alternator relay into the control power for each.

Could you explain this Marc. I would need the spare to come on line automatically upon the failure of the other.

I guess now you'd be getting into a little bit of design-build, but easy enough just the same. Got a link to a print on these things?
