I am using a QO220 GCFI breaker to a 220v 20amp outlet. The outlet has only 3 terminals on it...hot1, hot 2 and gnd. The breaker has two hots, a pig tail neutral and then a neutral screw in post. I am told that I need 12/3 for this outlet. So, for the outlet I use the black and red for the hot... do I connect the white wire to the third post on the outlet ( abandon the copper wire) and connect it to the 220v 20amp gfci neutral post. Or in the outlet I twist the white and gnd together with a copper pig and connect it to the third post. So, confused
