Is it ok to wire a motor for 220 volts and control it from a 480 volt VSD. What would be the full load amps.

Yes. You would need to configure the VSD for a maximum of 220V rather than 480V though.

Should be able to find this information on the motor nameplate. You will still be using it in a 220v application.

Yes it can be done, if the VFD is large enough.
You'll need to review the manual for the VFD.
Amps are determined by HP and voltage. Check the nameplate.
